Peter's 2008
Where have you been in 2008?
The Isle of Mann/Blackpool. Really enjoyed being in the Isle of Mann for the very first time. Will definitely return.
Favourite song of 2008?
Madonna "Give it to me"
Gabriella Cilmi "Shame about me"
Personal highlight of 2008?
My son (who has special needs) starting Glencraig currative school (Cultra). The staff are mostly German and really, really, nice people. All very dedicated. I don't think I could do their job.
What is going to be different about your show on Chaine FM this year compared to last year?
Hopefully somewhat more professional. I've also managed to track down some rarely played songs from the 1970's 1980's which I'm sure listeners will enjoy.
What are your plans for 2009?
As in the case of Stephen Nolan, to lose weight. I've done it before and I'm definitely going to try again....hopefully.
Favourite moment of Chaine FM 2007?
Apart from doing the show (which I thoroughly enjoyed, despite being very nervous) telling people they had won a prize in the competitions.
The Lowdown on Peter.
Name?
Peter Henderson
Age?
The same as Whoopi Goldberg / Sir Ian Botham / Bill Gates!
Favourite Music/Artist/Track?
I love Classic rock and classic soul/disco. As long as it's got a good tune it's OK.
Favourite thing about Larne?
The views. The views from both Craigyhill and Inver on a clear day are stunning.
So what brought you to Chaine FM?
Belfast City Hospital Radio and Radio Moyle.
Who on the radio inspired you?
The late, great, Alan Freeman (fluff). A brilliant DJ and sorely missed.
Give us one embarrassing story about you?
Too many to mention but if you think "Frank Spencer" you'll be in the right ballpark!
Whats your idea of a good night out?
A good night in!
Favourite drink?
Anything diety!
Dream date?
These days I have to say the wife (or else dear help me!), but when I was younger I fantasized over Kate Jackson, one of the original Charlie's Angels. It's a shame she's never on TV these days.
Favourite holiday destination?
Anywhere outside Norn Iron. Seriously though, I loved the Bernese Oberland district of Switzerland. We went there for our honeymoon. Fantastic scenery. I'd love to go back!
In their own words:
A very shy person who's always putting his foot in it!
