Daytime DJs Unleashed
Mondays 23:00 - 01:00
The life of a daytime presenter on Chaine FM is generally a happy lot....though what if that presenter wants to freedom to be a bit more random both in show content and the music played?
Enter our Daytime DJs Unleashed show late on Monday nights. These are sure to be must-listen shows...
Murray McDowell Unleashed
1 and 15 December
Join Murray McDowell for cheeky banter with his band mate Keni B. Expect loads of all time classic blues, soul and rock with Murray freed from the music constraints of the Breakfast Show.
Gary Andrews Unleashed
Gary looks forward to playing a load of tunes from his record collection that he could never blend into his afternoon show and brings along two former co-hosts from his old Radio Moyle shows.
8 December 2008
Afternoon host Gary Andrews is joined by Louise Moore to recreate their old Radio Moyle Wednesday night show which was always unpredictable during its two year run from 2003 to 2005. The pair's comedy squabbling had many people assume they were actually married. One Christmas several years ago when they had gone for drinks in Belfast after work this chemistry was particularly evident. On the train on the way home, Louise suggested Gary was a bit drunk (which in fairness he probably was) only for her to be told off by another guy returning from an office party for not allowing her husband to enjoy Christmas. (He appeared to be drunk on the phone to his wife).
22 December 2008
Darren Gilliland (otherwise known as Dazio G) was Gary's sidekick on Radio Moyle for many years (they reckon mainly Monday nights 1998 - 2003). With Darren's quirky characters and Gary learning the boundaries of broadcasting frequently the result was chaos and on occasions actually funny.
The pair join forces again for one night only when they hope to revive some of their old features which may work or may just fail miserably.
Make sure you take part in the "Guess The Impression" competition...Daz's impressions are legendary...
Interesting fact Darren was christened Dazio G by Gary (inspired by Dario G who had a few tracks out around about 1997-98) - he subsequently became Daz which has stuck as his nickname with friends and even his fiancée.
